What OTHER stuff would get banned...

Movies, music, and books should also be banned due to this law. Most especially, the Bible, which contains many scenes of both debauchery and violence: hedonistic practices, fathers killing sons because of voices in their heads, entire cities being leveled due to a bet ("for the usual amount") between two make-believe parties, etc.

I do love the commentary after the /. articles. They are much more informative than the actual articles. And more entertaining, too.

Jack Thompson is actually lucky he's full of it. If his views on violent videogames and movies were right, a large group of crazed gamers would have probably eaten his brain (assuming he in fact has one) by now.

And yes, the Slashdot folks seem to have hit the nail on the head with regards to censorship...something they seem particularly good at. Censorship is a concept that appeals to people with tiny brains, mostly because they can't see the big picture effects of saying what people can and can't read, or watch, or play.
