What OS for my HTPC?

Well, I finally got around to putting together my HTPC/Mame box, and have the choice of XP pro or Vista Ultimate to run on it. Was wondering if the media aspects of vista are worth it.

Here are the specs on my HTPC

500gb HD
8600gts vid card
E4600 cpu
4gb ddr2-800
lg blue ray drive

This will be hooked up to my HD JVC 42in CRT Iart tv.

Forgive me if the is the wrong forum, but it looked to be the best match.

Vista of course. You can't even use all 4GB of ram without Vista 64bit. Becides, with Vista you get Media Center. :heart:

oh and if you want to watch Blu-rays without issue you will need Vista.
