Exactly. Never underestimate the NEF factor of ATOT.
I guess a poll in the original post would have made this thread more informative.
Yes, but some of us run more than one OS. How would we choose? ;)

At home:

- Windows XP
- Windows 2000 Advanced Server
- Windows 2000 Professional
- RedHat Linux 8.0
- Debian r3

At work:

- Windows 2000 Professional
- SCO OpenServer 5
- AIX
- too many flavors of linux to list, but mostly RedHat boxen

All of the above are on their own machines. I'm not all about dual/triple/... booting.

I use:
Main computer -- Win2k/Gentoo linux (gotta have something for games)
secondary computer -- Debian Linux
Laptop -- Mac OS X (an iBook, I use this as much/more than the "main" one)

Because to be a geek you have to run linux?

I use unix mostly, but I also have a couple of machines with 98se and Win2k on them for oddball tasks.

My unix box runs Freebsd 4.5 with KDE 3.1 final! :D

KDE 3.1 final? 3.1_rc6 is the latest release.

I dual boot Gentoo (1.4_rc2) and Windows XP (sigh) on my desktop and FreeBSD 4.7 on my web-server.

Win98 on my mother's computer (haven't seen it in 2 years so haven't had a chance to decide if it should run anything else.

It boggles the mind...

It boggles my mind as to why nobody wants to use Linux instead of Microsoft bloatware? I can understand using it for some backwards compatibility issues, but otherwise I see no reason to pander to Microsoft and their bloatware OS's.

Yes, I still use it a little, but again, I have a few apps that don't translate to linux or have an equivalent on linux, hence why I still have 98 and 2000. Otherwise I prefer linux. Actually I prefer Freebsd of all of the nix's. :D
Of all of the *nix's I prefer Mac OS X. ;)

Laptop - Mac OS X.2
Home Desktop - Windows XP Pro
Work Desktop - Windows NT 4. (BLECCCH!)

Windows XP and Red Hat Linux when I get it in the mail. Gotta break from Microsoft and get experience elsewhere.

My router/firewall/fileserver/web server box runs Slackware Linux 8.1.
My client boxes (3 altogether) run various versions of Linux From Scratch.
My laptop runs Windows 2000 Pro SP2, since the stupid wireless card refuses to work in Linux, even though it's supported...
