This seems to come up a lot on MySpace (and, thus, Google searches for 'LaPedis'), so I figure it is related to some teenaged TV show or movie.

Does anyone have a clue as to the details behind it?

I was looking for a little more detail. Though it initially appears to be related to Zenon, it appears to have expanded beyond that. So, I was wondering if anyone had a different take and I did not want to influence/limit the responses by mentioning Zenon in the OP.
