In general, if they have to through paypal to use credit cards, they're probably not that great.
If you are running a business, having an account w/ credit companies just proves your validity. While some reliable online retailers may accept paypal, there are just too many scams with dealers taking your money via paypal and running off.

I was riped off by a company promising a great deal on a Voodoo 5- $212 but Paypal refunded the money. Took a month but I was very pleased.
