Probably because most of these B&M (Bitch and Moan) threads that get posted are the result of the OP doing something insanely stupid and rightfully catching sh*t for it - usually from their local PD. And naturally, it's not their fault for playing Speed Limit Multiplier ( 😉 ), no no, it's those Damned Pigs trying to Get Their Hate On.

Pretty much. Seems like everyone starting a bitching thread wants to Stick It To The Man(tm) and protect Their Right As An American to drive drunk, drive 100 mph+, slack off at work, not have to do homework, bitch about their parents for raising their ungrateful kid how they believed was best, etc.

Haven't most of the people who act in this manner been guilty of a similar act at least once in their life?
Probably. The difference is they don't feel the need to discuss it with 100,000 of their closest friends on the Internet.

I don't understand why your post count is so high then. So it seems is all you can do is comment on someone's problem without giving sound advice.

It seems like every time you read a "mistake" thread, whether it be "I lost all this money," or "I got into an accident," or "I almost hit someone," or "I broke my computer, or "I can't save money," etc. etc., the old members, with the most posts, seem to be more likely to attack, i.e. "You ass," "You're a moron," "Grow up and be responsible," "Why don't you take responsibility for yourself," "The world would be better off without you."

Is this just because most of the older members are older people, and are tired of seeing young kids be stupid? Or is it just because they feel mightier than other members or maybe just want to get some laughs from fellow ATers? Haven't most of the people who act in this manner been guilty of a similar act at least once in their life?

Posting anything remotely personal on this forum is the same as begging for abuse. If you want an idea of the nature of ATOT do a search on the words: hate, kill, and die.

i don't think it's an issue of fault, i think the attacks are a response to a certain attitude displayed by some posters

And a lack of common sense. For example...

"Man... I got busted for driving 80 in a 55." Oh... no shit? You did something illegal and got in trouble? Damn the system!

I dunno if I'm old. I'm 27, but anyway, I am tired of kids being stupid. Most of what I scorn people for I have not done myself. Believe it or not I try to avoid other's mistakes instead of being stupid enough to make them myself first (which many people seem unable to do). In cases where I have done something stupid, like being a clueless teenager with girls, for instance, I will readily admit it.
