What old car is this? 40s/50s

It looks a lot like a 1956 International Harvester S-120.

As Perknose noted, it may be a Rooskie copy or something.

Thanks for the info guys. Perknose, you look to be pretty right on track here. Although I can't find any pics online that match up just right.

Does anyone know where I can find a model or matchbox car like this?

Wow, good luck with that. IH's were never popular with any model maker I know of, though I BET there's one out there, somewhere!

I'll keep you in mind, though. Several of my friends have had Scouts or Travelalls through the years. Except for body rust with the Scouts, they were amazingly well built for long lasting, HEAVY duty service -- Prime icons of quality American manufacturing, imho.

Thanks AC. The grill is the only thing throwing me off.

Lol, that guy doesn't know the year of his vehicle. 😉

But, not to fear, SirC, target acquired!

Click on it to blow it up and you'll see. When you do, scroll down a bit and there's yet another photo in the comments you can blow up.

Combine the grill of the small photo with the big photo and, yeah, you get a 1955-56 Travelall. They were GREAT vehicles. You could NOT kill them.
Sure you could, but it takes another great American invention, Mr. Browning's Ma Duece. 😀

Lol, true dat! 😛

And, SirC, here's a 1/25 scale model of a 1953. I suggest you contact them or the manufacturer and see what else they've got. Tell 'em what you need. Model peeps are generally helpful, respectful, old school nerd types.

I'll bet Boomer needs one of those!

Yep, they were indestructible. A buddy of mine had one on a farm, pieces would fall off everywhere and it would still keep moving.

Heh-heh...I have a fewsmaller ones already, but there are some crane models out there that give me serious wood...
