What oil do you use?

This is probably true, though fwiw I use penzoil platinum. Mobil 1 apparently just isn't quite as good these days and penzoil plat shows up well with analyses. My cars do have synthetic from factory and the brand name stuff from the dealership is too expensive.
 
Whatever brand of 5w-20 standard oil my guy uses. Don't even use the Honda genuine filters anymore. I doubt it matters for a low end daily driver. I don't do enough driving to warrant synthetic and I'm not in the high millage band yet.
 
Hard to beat Pennzoil Ultra Platinum for what they charge for it. I pair it with filters from Napa, Purolator or K&N every 10k-12k miles. Have a 4.0L Nissan V6 and Honda 4 banger, both 2007, both run great and consume very little oil.
 
Any sale oil brand works for me. By default I will get castrol gtx 5w30.

I have 7-9 pureone filters right now.

I aim for 4000mile/4 month cycles.
