I'll add the oils I see to the poll as I go.

The other question I had was, do you pick a different oil depending on the engine?

I know the new BMW's require Synthetic but I was wondering what oil should I put in my 5.2 V8 (91kilometer) engine.

Thanks!

I use havoline... have for years. My dad worked in the lab for Texaco for years, and I saw the testing they put that stuff through, as well as the comparison charts for other manufacturers. I'll use havoline for the forseeable future. :)

Mobil1 FTW

I'm using the 5000 mile conventional, I'll probably switch to the 15,000 mile full synth at the next interval and run it for a year.

I have a turbocharger and the dealer uses Pennzoil 5w30.
I asked why they dont use synthetic and they said it isnt require.
I've also heard engines over 100k shouldnt be using synthetic.
