Which is it, the Houses/Grey's Anatomys out there, the NYPD Blues/CSIs, or Law & Orders/The Practices out there?

I'm a big fan of doctor shows myself..and House/Grey's as well as Prison Break are pretty much the only shows I watch on TV.

Plus I really enjoyed Nip/Tuck, up until Season 3..

None of the above. I hate cop shows. There are so damn many. All cop and law related shows need to be banished for 5 years minimum. This includes all CSIs, NCIS, Law and Order, The Shield, Numbers, Without A Trace, Cold Case, so on and so forth. It's all the same BS. Not that it really concerns me, I don't have cable so I'm not paying for it, but it'd be nice to flip on a network channel and see something original more often then not.

It is sad that we've only had one show that has featured a shoe salesman....we need another one of those...

I hate doctor shows. Maybe it's because Im one myself, and the TV represenation is absolutely nothing like real life.

I hate lawyer shows**. I hate doctor shows a little bit less (scrubs was kinda funny). I hate cops shows a little bit less than that. I pretty much hate them all.

**I've liked boston legal when spader and shatner do their schtick, but when they're in the court room it is absolutely wretched.

my mom says same thing.

I say that nobody wants to see a t.v. show about a worried mom taking their kid to the e.r. for what ends up being a mosquito bite.

edit: oh and paperwork : P

Cop shows, because the more realistic a cop show is, the better it is. Unfortunately for law and medical shows, the more realistic they are, the more boring they are.

If they were more realistic, there'd be a lot more downtime...and a lot more paperwork

Don't have to show the downtime or paperwork. Whereas if you had a super accurate medical show or law show, it would be really boring in any scene, because paperwork and downtime are boring, and genuine medicine and law are boring. It would be like watching a more boring trial than the OJ trial all the time.
