Alot of times Ill be talking to my friends and Ill say something and they'll be like "what?" Its not because they are big words, just words you don't hear so often. So what are some words that you use that get you odd looks sometimes?

For me:

Viciously
Randomly
Kemosabe
Woot
Ner

well, no, not really.

ahahaha, Im going to start using that word!

I was rather proud of that one .. but it's kind of hard to say sometimes .. almost like a tongue-twister. My g/f got a kick out of it though. 🙂

Well...

My girlfriend and I often add "ie" to the end of words in normal conversation..

Like.. "that hurtied". lol

Ahh yes you just reminded me. I also use leet and nub alot.

I do that too. "0wn3d" gets a lot of airtime around me, as do the "x0r"/"0r" suffixes. "Is suck" sees its share of play too.

I'm such a nerd0r.

There I go again.

As a lawyer I often use words that others would find weird, but a lot of it comes from the fact that both of my parents were English teachers when I was little. Here are a few:

nonplussed
gravaman
propensity
divers (it's an adjective, and no, it is not misspelled)
prejudicial

i say "cool" way too much .. whenever i don't have a response for something someone told me, or if i'm just not interested, i'll just say "oh cool"
