What OC are you getting out of hd7950? 1250mhz core!?

Very nice. Did you oc it yet?

Not very far, going to go in spurts. Currently its at 950/1300. Played BF3 on Ultra@1080P (Except AA, set that via the control panel to 4x) for 1.5 hours, no issues (not that I expected any).

It looks to me like that's under load, and if so, excellent temps. I'm interested to see how much further you can push it when you're ready.

This cooler runs incredibly quiet. I think it may actually be quieter than my old single fan 7750 that I pulled out.

I just received my Sapphire 7950 (non OC version, pictured below) that I purchased on this forum for a great price. I played some BF3 to test drive it, here is what I have so far
System:
core i5 2400k @ 4ghz, 8GB DDR3 1600, this card running at 2048 x 1152 resolution

BF3 - All set to Ultra, vsync on, FXAA enabled

64 player map after 20 minutes at stock GPU speeds:
scaled.php

I was afraid that this would be a loud card, it's not! It's audible, but not much louder than the other case fans in my system

Here are some numbers from a mild OC to 950 mhz core

for the life of me I can't go pass 950mhz, if I do BF3 locks up. However, I checked my setting in catalyst (where I'm setting my overclocks) and the bottom slider for power is at 10%, should i go higher?

Can you post another screen of GPUz but with all the measurements set to display max. I am wondering if your temps are maybe getting too high?

What does it say your stock voltage is set to? It looks like 1.01, which is lower than what my Sapphire OC is set to stock.

Tonight I gave 1000/1300 a try. Ran fine. But I still drop below 60fps sometimes with SSAO on :/

Try power tune +20 to see if it goes higher if not increase voltage.

My clocks are slightly higher than yours at 1080/1400 with a slight voltage increase. Some areas in bf3 will dip my fps to mid 40s ands that's with hbao and 2x aa in game. What's your minimum fps you get in bf3?

Running at 1080P, with everything set to max with the exception of:
1: Motion Blur is off (I hate it, messes with my aim)
2: In game AA is off. I enable 4x AA via the Control Center
3: SSAO instead of HBAO

I run FRAP's and the lowest I have seen it dip is 50-51. Its typically not consistently below 60. But I run with vsync, so when it does dip, I really notice it.

And as an extra bit of info, I have been running my box through a kill-a-watt. So with the system specs below, playing BF3 with the above settings, I was averaging 260-270W at the wall. Which is literally only 30-35W more than the same system but with the old HD5750.

I find that pretty impressive. Granted having vsync on mean the GPU is not all running full bore, but even with my some what power hungry CPU (Which averages about 60% CPU usage) overall system power isn't too bad.

I am using AMD's control center. Sapphire doesnt look like they have added official support for the 7950 to TRIXX yet. Even though its plastered all over the box. Its not on the driver DVD, and the one on their site says 7970, but not 7950.

Although I am going to mess with MSI Afterburner.
