ok well i'm upgrading my athlonxp 2000+ cpu to something more worthy of my new graphics card (9800 pro) and instead of completely buying a new motherboard that supports amd64 cpu's so i could get the new, cheap amd64 3000+, i want to save some money and just go with the 2500+ xp and oc it. obviously the 2500 will be locked since it's new, so what fsb or multiplier should i set my bios to if i decide to oc it? keep in mind the ga-7n400 is pretty oc friendly... though i don't know how this stands if the multipliers are locked. if the multipliers are locked.. also, how should i get around that.

Gigabyte GA-7N400-L2 nforce2 ultra-400 Motherboard
512 mb pc-2700
amd athlon 2000+ (not oc'd)
antec 400w p/s
stock ati radeon 9800 pro

A good starting point is to raise the FSB to 200 (from 166) and test that. If it isn't stable, increase the CPU voltage and retest. If it is stable, then you now have an XP 3200+! If you want to, increase the FSB a bit more and repeat.
