What not to say when trying to RMA my monitor?

Last weekend I loosened something inside, and there's this wire going vertical on the left hand side of the screen that sways like it's in the wind. Alright, now cut to tonight while I'm breaking apart this old comp desk to make more space...i leave the monitor on the bed. Well it rolls off (keep in mind this sucker weighs something like 50 or 60lbs) on top of my old stripped down to the metal Dell comp case. The plastic frame on the bottom is half broken, and now along with the swaying line, there's these big horizontal lines that are darker then lighter, etc. goes on for about 6 rows at the top of the screen in dark backgrounds. Threw away all the papers that came with the monitor. It's a 900nf i bought from onvia about 4 months ago, so if anyone can give me some advice of what to say for those samsung guys to take it away and give me a new one it would be cool.

I think you're screwed. Warrantees don't cover abuse suchas tampering inside the case and dropping. Save those pennies for a new one.

You broke the monitor, it didn't fail. You should not RMA it, buy another one.

ps - some credit cards used to automatically give protection for this type of failure, you could check into that

Well, you could tell them the truth and see what happens. That's presumably what you would appreciate if the situation were reversed. Probably no way Onvia will help and it is very doubtful Samsung will do anything for you, but who knows. If that loose wire was not your fault and you return it for warranty on that item, perhaps they'll repair the other damage to make you a satisfied customer.

Ditto what Michael said on the credit card approach, those programs cover your situation.
