Not limited to imports my friend, any car of that size would be trashed. Rule of thumb, total weight of all material loaded into a vehicle should not exceed the weight of the empty vehicle. If the lumber &c is in excess of 3000lbs, don't load it into a car that weighs maybe 2500lbs dry. Bad idea. Very funny though.
I'm quite sure that much weight would have crushed the passenger compartment. Plywood is heavy as hell, & there've got to be pushing 20 sheets on there. Plus all the other lumber.
Either that's fake, or it's a miracle they aren't dead.
Actually most modern cars can support approximately twice their own weight on their roof, the reason the roof gets crushed in a rollover is that the acceleration of the car caused by rolling creates a force on the roof greater than twice the car's weight.

Impossible. The shock towers are in the trunk the tops of which are about 2 inches below rear deck. I have seen people do stupid sh!t like this before though.
