What next in the core i7 920 range?

I was going to build a new rig around core i7 920 - but was wondering if I should wait a couple of months for something better in the same price range. I have heard abt core i7 930, but is there some other stuff in the same price range and is better than core i7 920 also coming out?

There will ALWAYS be something better, coming down the pike.

The i7 920 is a great choice right now; socket 1366 has 12MB cache quads and hexa-cores coming in 2010 (hopefully) so it should be a great platform.

i think next year they will do a shrink to 32nm for the i7, I forgot when though, probably at least June/2010.

I bought a ready-made from Gateway...never again. Anyway, the only thing i'm going to keep is the i7-920. Over clock (and cooling, cooling, cooling!!!!!), +6-8 gig mem, +2 raid zero HD's, +1.5T external storage, new $250 GPU, , +Win 7 Pro to run my $5K XP software!!!
