What newer card replaces ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5870 in laptop?

What newer video card can I get to replace an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5870 in a laptop?

I'm having trouble figuring out what brand/model will drop in as a replacement. The old ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5870 from 2010 is freezing up. Otherwise the laptop is still a useful workhorse.

Which laptop you got, most of them you can't swap in a new video card...

How do you know its the video card? Did you remove it and only use the integrated video?

We need more information about what your laptop is. Most likely it's not even upgradeable, most laptops aren't.

If it is something like a Sager or Clevo, then maybe. We need to know all the details though.

Without any additional info I'm guessing its an Asus G73 variant.
