What network card is best? the 3C905TX, 3C905BTX or 3C905CTX?

Okay, right now i have a 10mb baset dlink nic and its good for my dsl line but for lans its really slow with file sharing. I get about on average 1mb split for up and down. So I'm real interested in getting a good 10/100 card.

I did order a intel 10/100 pro + management card a few weeks ago but i sent it back because i didnt like how it delayed my start time and all of the features it had in windows and in the bios. I like nic cards tro be simple and to the point. I dont care about messing with my server/computer from remote.

so im looking at the 3-com 3C905TX, 3C905BTX or 3C905CTX cards. from what you guys know do any of these card have somthing like the pro managment crap that my intel card had? or are they all normal cards, because id like to know. I can get the 3C905TX for about $20 "used" and the 3C905BTX and 3C905CTX for about $40.

Thanks

They're all about the same, unless if you need the extra management features and DMI drivers. The problem probalby wasn't your Intel NIC, I have a 10/100 Pro Intel NIC and it boots up just the same as the 3Com's (Management $80 version) I've used. I'd suggest getting the cheapest 3Com or Intel 10/100 NIC you can find.. all you have to do to make it boot up faster is to hardcode an IP into the adapter and/or disable DHCP.
