BBQ potato chips - store brand is flavorless.

Soda - A&W, Henry Weinhard are the best if you want soda.

Yep. I remember drinking that on a road trip to New York, circa 1981. Like something out of Repo Man.

I seem to remember having a poker game one time and someone brought a 6 pack of that stuff.

No blue bell where you're at? Every other ice cream sucks compared to Blue Bell, with the exception of Braum's (but still not as good as Blue Bell).

bluebell is not the end all of ice cream. Tillimook is just as good or better. the private selection at Kroger stores is better than its price. try your local places to get the best. ours is called Glacier, it's much better than any brand in the store.

we don't pay attention to brand all that much. usually buy the top teir only when on sale, like kerrygold and put a few lbs in the freezer. kirkland and canade dog food may be our most loyal purchase.

Ketchup. I buy Del Monte. No GMO ingredients, and no HFCS.
If you buy "Simply Heinz" you also get that. You can also pay an extra dollar for "Organic Simply Heinz" which is the same thing, but with "organic" listed before each ingredient on the label...

Blue Bell is terrible. Good marketer, sub par ice cream. Plus who wants listeria?

Me! Me! Me!!

Oh, nevermind, I thought that was a new flavor. Blue Bell is far from terrible (listeria concerns notwithstanding), but it's also far from great. Their marketing is definitely better than their product.

I second Tillimook, but HEB Creamy Creations takes the cake for me.
