Drag and drop. I have never used Kies for anything. Just plug the phone in and copy over whatever music you want (mine was all organized in folders already, so just copied over as-is). Then when I launched PowerAmp, I selected the directories I wanted it to look in for music files, et voila, c'est tout!
also, you can use airdroid as a (better) alternative to kies for OTA file transfers and a lot more. this however is much slower than physically plugging in via USB.
iSyncr, integrates beautifully with iTunes. Player Pro imho is better than Poweramp, but that's just my opinion. When I owned Android phones I had paid for and used both a lot. Player Pro for playing, iSyncr Wifi for syncing wirelessly was the best combo I came across. Dragging and dropping as others in here have suggested is only good for tiny collections or ones that that you don't ever really mess with.
Yup. Makes equalizing the music sound a lot better. You're able to get quite a bit more kick out of your bass without getting any clipping like other apps. It's worth trying the free version out to see if you hear a difference. It's night and day with the music I listen to. I've tried other recommended music players and they all sound god awful in comparison.
