I saw the Rio Karma the other day and it looks like a real good alternative to the Ipod. You can't go wrong with going with an Ipod though.

The Zen also dwars the iPod. If you want the smallest HD player on the market with arguably the most feature's, the iPod is the one for you. The iPod has great sound.
