I have been using this one for quite a while now: Allsop and I love it, works great with all the games I play, which is almost none these days now that I think about it.

See sig. I love my exactmat, it will work flawlessly with other high end mice as well, i have tried an MX510 and a G5 on it, both were just as slick. I really like the new steelpad, i dont know the model, but it has cool graphics cast all over it, and chunks of rubber at the bottom randomly placed to help grip. I might get it.

i had the exactmat. The surfaces themselves are OK, but what were razer thinking with the glued on rubber feet.. Half of them broke off with pretty normal use so the pad just slides across the desk, so unlike its claim of lasting 5+ years (or whatever it was), it lasted me about 6 months. :disgust: Maybe they've improved it now though..

For $15, I got a Steel Pad Qck+. It's a huge cloth mousepad. It works well with my MX1000. Go out and buy the Xtrac Dotz or some sort of Teflon mouse feet...it really makes a big difference.

I like cloth over hard surfaces because it is more comfortable against your wrist/forearm.

fUnc sUrface 1030. Yeah an expensive mouse pad, but worth every penny if you ask me (plus I got it on sale).
It's a plastic surface that rests on a rubber base, and can be removed and turned over to a different surface (rough and fine). Plus it came in a nice tin container.

One half of a sickly green manila folder taped to the desk.
Large area, low friction and just the right amount of traction for gaming. Works better than my Barracuda lite mousepad.
