I just got a MS Intellimouse Explorer for xmas and using it now. My mouse pad a is MS Direct Access Tech support on and is Black/Green/Blue. The mouse skips a bit on it. I tired on a black piece of paper and the mouse works great. I am prolly heading over to Walmart to get a black mouse pad. What are you using? (BTW, my table is glass so I can't use the mouse with out a pad.

The one I got is a water ripple pattern. I think they have a space pattern. I really want to get a Ratzpad or a Surface 1030 though.

You can buy them at CompUSA or Best Buy, not sure if other stores carry them but it doesn't hurt to check.

urbantechie, for MS Intelli mouse, get a pad with a lot of different patters and colors. If you know how the mice work, then you'd know why. A single colored pad with no patterns isn?t very efficient.

I have an optical mouse but I still use this pad because of the excellent wrist support. It's good idea to use something to support you're wrist (even a small rolled up hand towel) b/c carpel tunnel syndrome sucks!

I have a piece of white paper taped to my table and works great. My table is glass so I can't use that...

I've been using my optical on the carpet for the past week, works surprisingly well!! Don't have a desk here at the parent's place for Christmas, but oh no, that won't stop me;)

BTW, I use a Black cushion pad with the Wrist support. Believe me, after you're used to the wrist support, you?ll never go back to the flat POS pads.

I can't get comfortable with those wrist pads for the mouse. I got one for my keyboard, which works wonders and one for the mouse that I just can't get used to.
