What motherboards have the best boot times?

I need a 775 motherboard with a good boot time. I'm hesitant to get a Gigabyte as my last one took an entire minute(or more) to boot on a clean install. My current evga 680i boots in less than 30 seconds which i find quite nice.
What are some other motherboards with decent boot times?

Let's see...my Gigabyte boots from COLD START press of ON BUTTON to Windows StartUp Sound is 38 sec. Fast boot, no splash screen are selected.

From Mobo Beep it is only 33 sec.

I think it is a pretty fast booting system for 2GB memory. YMMV

Memory size doesn't increase boot time unless it's ECC RAM.

The main factors are: VGA initialization, storage device enumeration, USB. Turn off all the IDE, SATA and USB interfaces you don't actually use, and it'll be done faster. Lots faster.

Peter, I disagree. With only 512mb, the bios memory check function goes by quite quickly. There is a noticeable delay when I use 2gb of dual channel memory.

I also have the minimum configuration selected with no par/ser ports.

Thanks for your advice on the other issues.

Peter is right. Only ECC RAM adds any amount of significant boot time.

That mid-POST "memory check" is 99 percent useless anyway. Just turn it off.

Okay, Peter is right. I was mistaken. I thought it was faster with less memory. Wrong.

Now, Peter...how do we turn it "off"? I have never seen a memory on/off switch in bios. My DS3 just runs thru a check each boot letting me know that I am running dual channel.

Thanks

I've tried 4 LGA775 boards and EVGA 680i is by far the fastest booting into Windows. Especially if you don't need IDE (PATA) drives and don't use RAID. Often times I miss the window of opportunity to press 'Del' to get in the BIOS. It's frighteningly fast. The 2nd fastest so far for me is DFI P965-S.
