I'm looking specifically for a motherboard that has a 4mb (512KB) socketed BIOS chip. I'm pretty sure they come in both PDIP (Black rectangle with two rows of pins/"feet") and PLCC (Black square with contacts on all sides) packages. Intel-brand boards typically use permanantly soldered surface-mounted TSOP FlashRAM chips, so 4mb boards like that wouldn't be an option for me. I just ordered 4 PDIP-32 AM29F040B-90 chips to flash in them with an XBOX BIOS, and I just realized that most motherboards won't flash over 2mb, so I need to find a cheap 4mb board. Obviously, I prefer to find one that takes the old-style DIP packages because that's what I ordered, but these chips are available in PLCC packages. I just want to know of ANY boards that have 4mb BIOSes just to know. Any extra details woulf be appreciated, but I'll try to look them up myself if I can get some board models
Thnx!
