If the floppy is the only problem, I would keep what you have for a little longer. I've never seen a floppy port go bad, unless the pins are bent. I find used floppies for about $5 at goodwill or any pc shop specializing in used stuff. For a new mobo, the abit nf7 version 2.0 or an7 should work fine.

Mobos with the new VIA kt-880/8237 (dual channel DDR, etc.) chipset are supposed to hit the street very soon if you can hold out.

ya i checked my floppy cables. it seems from the time i got the board the floppy never worked. i dont mind but i cant update the bio because of it. thats the only problem. it doesnt know my cpu and my ram is 400ddr and it only picks up at 333. and my cpu fb is running at 166 and i know i can get it higher but it doesnt because i need to update the bio. one problem spreads a few more  but i am looking for good proformance and i know there is nothing that out of date on my board but i just want the best i can get right now till i update my other parts.
