What motherboard in a HP Pavilion 6745c?

Does anyone know where I can find out what motherboard goes in an HP Pavilion 6745c? What I would really like is a manual for it.

The reason I need it is that a friend has one of these, but it only comes with one serial port. He needs to due to a recent Christmas present for his daughter. I checked out the motherboard and it appears to have the header for a second serial port, but when i attach the cable it doesn't work.

It's a proprietary mobo , manufactured by "cognac". not much you can do with it. A standard micro ATX borad won't fit in it either, the cpu socket is in line with the drive bays and there's not enough room to fit the cpu and hsf. I repaired one last week that the mobo was short, and had to replace the case alongwith a new mobo. The good thingabout this is you don't have to put back in the " HP S$#@#%T"😉

Any idea if I can plug a serial port from another motherboard onto this one? If so, any instructions on where to attach the cable? Anything special I should now?

Thanks,

Shawn

I am also interested.
What CPU speeds does this mobo support?
I wanted to upgrade a frineds processor, but don't know how high it can go...

Thanks in advance.

The reason I am looking for info is because it looked like the motherboard had the correct header, but when I attached the cable, I couldn't get anything to communicate through it.

I just want to make sure that it is a serial port header before I spend more time trying to make it work.
