Lots of us got the FX-55 from hot deals.

Now, I need a motherboard for it.

I'd appreciate suggestions and reasons/tradeoffs.

Context: I haven't put together a system in a long time, so 'easy' is preferred. Stability/quality is important. I'm a newbie at overclocking, may or may not try a little.

Needs to use the Artic Cooler 64 Pro I ordered, and the Sonata (old first model, 380W) case.

I'm not sure what other bells and whistles to look for. I don't think I need LAN. I'm leaning towards a single-card over SLI (or Crossfire).

Thanks.

i use this one Biostar Tforce 939

i chose it due to price stability ease (and i do mean easy) of overclocking.

best easy to oc board ive used .

solid as a rock never a problem and you can just go into the bios and pick a 25% oc and it sets everything. OR you can manually jack it up. easy ? i think so.

Asus A8V ?

i just inherited one from my neighbor. it has a 939 chip in it and has
a synthesize voice that says "system doesn't start do to CPU failure".

i'll either sell it or wait for a deal on a 939 CPU.
