What motherboard for 1Ghz AMD Thunderbird?

I just got my AMD 1ghz thuderbird and was wondering what motherboard to use.I want somthing that is rock solid,really dependable for an affordable price.I will be using this for an FTP server.What should I get?

For overclocking w/o RAID, I'd go with the MSI K7T Pro2. If you need RAID, then the Abit should work fine. If you don't plan to overclock, the MSI or the Asus would be good choices. :)

I know you can OC with the Asus, but it's a bit more trouble.

Yes tons more trouble :) You have to flip thoose awful dip switches! hehe I have a Asus A7V and find it to OC very well.... 111FSB 9.5X

Asus A7V is the way to go. Loving it every moment. It's very stable. I'm sure the other boards out there are good as well. Abit KT7 RaiD of Asus A7V is the way to go!

If you are looking for stability, I would definitely go for one of the MSI boards. The Pro2 is the more stable of the two, and also allows for OCIng if you are into that sort of thing.

However, if you are looking for special storage options, there are also the other variations like the Pro2-A with ATA100 and the Pro Master with SCSI.

I work at a computer store, Asus comes back the most often of the 3. I go with an abit, i sell a crapload and never seem em back again.
