I just purchased a Celeron 633 and I was wondering what I kind of motherboard I should purchase. I was hearing that people were overclocking their 633's to 950mhz.

Oh, by the way, it's a retail box CPU, and I will be using PC100 memory...if that matters?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I hate to burst your bubble, but C633s hitting 950MHz are quite rare. The original Cumine-128 C533As are the best overclockers, followed by c566 and C600. The C600 already has a hard time reaching 900MHz, so the chances of your C633 reaching 950MHz is virtually none, unlses you've got a really good chip. Even if you do reach 950MHz, you'll probably need massive cooling and a lot of voltage.

That being said, if you do intend to overclock, go for the Asus CUSL2 if you want i815E or MSI BXMaster if you want BX. PC100 memory shouldn't be a problem since you're not going to exceed 100MHz anyway. Good luck, you'll need it.

I recommend to use an Abit BX-Board. Due to the fact your celly perhaps won't make it up to 950, with the 1MHz increments of the SoftMenuIII you get the most out of it.
Good luck from me,too...
