I haven't been keeping up with Intel chipsets, what CPUs (and there core revisions) will work with what chipsets? I notice that there is the old I865/I875 chipsets with socket T support, will these support Core 2 and Pentium D-s (even tho they use old DDR-1).

I've been looking at the Asus P5ND2 which uses an Nforce SLI chipset, its only $90 at newegg, I might get this next week with a 2.1ghz Core 2. Will this work? Or do I need different chipset?

You'll need a board with the new Nforce chipset, current NF4 chipset boards won't support Conroe(core 2 duo). They may in the future with newer revisions, but not current ones. You pretty much need to look at the manufacturers website to see what CPU's are supported, as not all LGA775 CPU's work in all LGA775 motherboards.

all 965x boards, the announced 975x boards (like the asus P5W DH Deluxe), SOME current 975x boards that can be flashed with a bios update...the ati crossfire 3200 or whatever chipset, the nvidia nforce 500/590/whatever sli intel edition.

there was a thread around here (or was it on another forum...dont remember) that listed all conroe compatible motherboards.
