what more relyable motherboard monitor a temp readings in bios mbm reads 29c formobo and 50c for cpu but one in bios reads 30c mobo 43c cpu?

what motherboard?

I'd guess MBM without knowing anythign else, because:

Windows readings can have a known "load" level. Bios Load levels vary from motherboard to motherboard. ANd no motherboard i've ever seen is either full load nor full idle in BIos, usually they're in hte middle.

I know a lot of people will disagree, but that's the truth... there are people who adjust windows "load" readings to match bios readings, but that's flat out wrong. Windows readinsg are exactly that, windows readings. Bios readings are only useful based on a load that hte bios puts the CPU under.

Mike, he's running:
AMD XP 1600 (didn't o/c yet. yes, i know i should whip myself ;p)
Abit KR7 non-raid
512MB PC2100 Crucial
4 HDs
2 SCSI CD-ROMS (one cd-r, one cd-rom)
GeForce 3 Ti200 (not o/c'd either..yet)

And I agree, I've never been able to match exactly MBM5 temps with BIOS even after an immediate restart after a burn-in. They are close, but never quite the same.
