I am building a new rig for casual gaming, video encoding and editing.I want a motherboard recommendation.I am gonna have E8400,Kingston 2x2gb ddr2 800, WD500 gb s2, hd4850/8800gt, antec sonata 3 case wth ea500.I hav another wd160gb and two ide dvd drives from my previous rig.I want oc potential.
What should I go for-sli or xfire?
I live in Kolkata(India). P35 boards from Asus,MSI, Gigabyte are frequent here,x38 is hard to find.Only p5e and msi x38 ddr3 are available.Also 750i and 780i boards from msi are there.
I want the Gigabyte x38 ds5,bt its still nt available.Wht shud I do?
 
x38 is a good choice, but I wouldn't pay too much of a premium. The p35 and p45 chipsets work just as well.
