I just bought an amd thunderbird 1.2 and have been looking for the best motherboard to get. I want something that is versitle and has DDR. My two choices that i came up with is the Asus A7A266 and Asus A7M266. I do want 266fsb for the future. I don't know if these boards are good, looking for some help here. Oh and mebbe sum raid support? Help greatly appreciated, I'm so lost its unbelieveable. I want to make the right choices heh.

Yucky, the MSI K7T Turbo only supports SDR.

Thrasha, you might want to consider the MSI K7 Master.

People, please read first his question. He said he'l looking for a motherboard that supports DDR. The MSI K7T Turbo and Abit KT7A are exclusively for SDR. 🙂

Ya i'm kinda looking for a DDR board, if you guys don't think that ddr makes a difference well maybe i shouldn't look for a ddr board? I basically want the best potential i can get from any board 🙂 😀

People, he wants a DDR board, stop suggesting a SDR boards!!!

IMHO the Asus A7M266 is the best DDR Athlon board out there.

The A7M266 would be a good choice as long as you don't plan on overclocking at all except with the FSB, as the A7M266 doesn't allow multiplier adjustments.

You might want to wait for the KT266 motherboards to be released in a few weeks..a lot of people are waiting for them.
