Pros: Most efficient, least power consuming mobile CPU series to date.

Cons: Price (still a bit spendy), no 64 bit support.

Other Thoughts: Just to clarify, the Yonah line of CPU's are currently only compatible with Intel's Mobile 945 chipset line.So those who have an older chipset based platform (i.e. 915, 910, or older) will have to upgrade your entire system in order for this CPU to function. All this info can easily be found on Intel's website.

OP asked about the P4-M (Pentium 4 Mobile), not Pentium M or Core Duo/Solo.

I don't know what desktop motherboards might be compatible. Unless you already have the processor, it seems like it wouldn't be worth the effort. Especially when Core 2 parts are so inexpensive.

I know that the Asus P4S800 boards will run a P4M just fine. I used to run one of them. As I recall several of the Asus boards would work with the mobile P4s
