What mobo/RAM for an i7 930?

My gf's PC just crapped out, and it was time for an upgrade anyway. She plays WoW and Lord of the Rings Online and with Cataclysm just around the corner I want to get her something that she doesn't need to turn the graphics down on for the new content.

An i7 930 seems to be fairly decently priced and still allowing for upgrade down the line, so what motherboard/RAM setup would be good for this? The last time I built a PC it was with DDR2, so I have no idea about current mobo's and DDR3 combos.

Any help appreciated, not looking to buy something top of the line, or any intention of overclocking, just a solid motherboard with good memory that I don't need to tweak around on voltages or anything like that.

Thanks for reading and I appreciate your feedback! :)

I`ve found for a good inexpensive 1366 board the EVGA 132-BL-E758-RX which is the 4th product down on this page... Does the job quite well and at a good price... You might find other boards in the buy sell trade forum also...?

As for memory... Depends on if your OC`ing alot or not... Cant go wrong with Corsair but I like Gskill and currently am running that board and 3X2gig Trident PC2000 DDR3 memory from here...

Just check out the reviews and you`ll find what you like and at a price you can live with... Oh and did I say FAST...!

any asus or gigabyte X58 board should do, and get a 1333mhz ram kit with three sticks. If you're running a 32bit OS there's no point in getting more than a 3GB kit.

well unfortunately I live in europe (ireland to be precise) and the websites I usually go to for ordering parts both don't seem to have that board. Would there be any i5 that is equivalent to i7 930 with a more available board?

Sorry I should've clarified. I was referring to the board that Bartman39 mentioned above. I checked komplett.ie and dabs.ie.

Buying a pc now you really shouldnt be expecting an easy upgrade of the cpu, new sockets are coming out in 2011 so you'll probably have to get a new motherboard for an upgrade. That being said, the i7-930 is a good performer and will most definitely last you many years.

here's some ram:
