I have a question about a Computer I just saw. I just visited my father and noticed a new computer on his desk. I was just wondering if anyone might know what mobo/chip this computer is using. The mobo Description is.......

It has:
2 Pci
1 AMR
1 CNR
4x AGP slot
Built in Graphics Card
VGA and Flat screen moniter Connnecter
Built in (Fasttek) Ethernet card......Think that was the name
It is a Micro ATX board and has 2 SDR slots. The mobo manuel also has a not saying that this mobo only supports Nvidia cards.
I thought I remmebered reading it used the SIS 735 chip.

Can anyone tell me if this is a new MOBO with a 735 Chip??

I think the first 2 letters of the mobo being k7..... is this the ECS K7S5A?

Asking him was of no use, my father just thought it was a good buy and got it.
12x DVD, 12xburner Lite on, 250w Case, 1.3 Ghz,floppy, 40G HD for $600. Was this a good price?

One last note, My father travels all over and has many connections in the PC world so he could have got this thing anywere. (Not trying to Brag)

Not an ECS K7S5A. That has 5 PCI, no CNR, no built in video and 2 DDR + 2 SDR slots. Hard to tell what that board is, but definitely not the ECS and probably not an actual SIS 735 chipset.
Price seems OK, but questionable expansion and weak power supply.

Thnx, umm great I forgot the name. But thnx to the person who told me what Board it was.
ITs a ECS k7SEM Board using SIS700. Sorry I forgot the name, but thnx again to whoever it was. Does anyone know anything about this board, and if the price was decent??

Of course I could have done much better for less, but I would still like to know if my father got a BAD/Decent/ok Buy. Thnx ahead to anyone

Here is a review on the motherboard. Performance not too impressive. As I said earlier, no real expansion hopes and weak PS. Doesn't add up very well, but at $600.00 it doesn't have to. If he got a monitor, speakers, keyboard, mouse, some software and printer, then I guess it would be an "OK" deal. Nothing to shout about though.
