Epox 9NPA+Ultra is a very good board...tons of people have recommended it recently. DFI makes good boards but they are for OCing, so its not what you are looking for. the Epox can be OCed too, but it doesnt have the massive range of bios settings a DFI would provide; however it still provides a wide variety of settings for the computer so its totally in your hands.

the neo4 from MSI is a pretty decent board as well. if you arent looking to OC, then just get whatever you think looks good that has the chipset and features you require.

oh, and i agree, SLI is retarded.

A related question:
I'm looking to get a 939 board for the x2 3800+, but I want to stay with AGP 8x
I know that Asus makes a board that's 939, but I was wondering if anyone had any good recommendations?

If you're not over clocking, the one in my sig is great. A8N-SLI - if you're o/c then DFI lanparty.

Lots of good features.

I have the MSI K8N Neo4 Platinum. It has a known issue where the CMOS battery loses it's charge after a period of time, and you must replace the battery. Some people have reported changing the battery ever 2 weeks! Not sure if MSI has ever fixed this problem in revision motherboards, but I am RMAing mine nevertheless, and going with an ASUS.

You should also see a poll I put in General Hardware asking for people's input on the best motherboard for an X2 processors. ASUS won.

If you don't overclock or only overclock mildly, the Asrock Dual SATA is worth checking out.
