For a few months I've been eyeing the Abit NF7-S v.2 with an AMD XP-M 2600+ or 2800+ and RAM.
Now that AMD prices have come down, should I be getting something else?
What would you suggest? What price? What store?

If I do stay with the NF7-S v.2 and XP-M, am I screwing myself in anyway in the near future.

Thanks

For the money, go with an A64 2800+ or 3000+ Newcastle as they are a really good price right now. Mobo wise, I would definitely go with MSI's K8N Neo Platinum or something equivalent. Stay with the nForce3 chipset whatever you do. Memory wise, you can use a pretty wide selection but from what I've seen Corsair and OCZ give you some of the best performance and OC in A64 systems. If you're buying new, I wouldn't waste my money on an AXP in terms of longevity of your investment. Sure it costs more, but you won't want to upgrade to an A64 in 8 months either.

I'd go with an Athlon64 for sure, I am just upgrading out of my XP now, so I don't think anyone who is buying new should buy an XP right now. but that's just me.
