i am going to send my asus cubx back because this board is flaky as heck with the celeron 566.

the place i bought it from has a poor to nonexistent selection of abit boards, so i will most likely need to order another asus or msi or gigabyte.

what do you guys recommend????

Is it flaky when overclocked or nonoverclocked? Are you sure it's not the processor or your ram?

I'm using my old BH6 with a celermine566 overclocked to 850 and it's running like a champ. I'd say any decent BX board with voltage adjustment would work fine. The MSI BXMaster would definitely be high on my list if I were looking for a BX motherboard.

it ran great on my bh6 also.....but i need in that my other computer.

the cubx seems to have voltage problems among other things with the celerons.

i would like a be6 II, but i may end up with a p3bf or something like that.

I'm using an Abit vt6x4. I just set it up and moved my CII 533@800 into it from a BH6. I stuck an older 366@550 in the BH6. Good luck whatever your next choice is.:)

Runnin mine on an Abit BX6r2 with an MSI slocket. Works like a champ at 875, but probably could do 952 if I wanted to put the voltage at 1.8.

I've moved my one (1) Celeron 566 into BH6, BX6R2, and Asus F3B. With updated BIOS, each ran the CPU about the same although I could get a better overclock on the ASUS simply because it has more FSB choices. Lark (using ABIT Slotkey III)

My test rigs are MSI BX Masters and 6163 pro. I also use a BX Master in my personal box. :)

Soyo 6BA+IV. Haven't had an MSI board since the old Cyrix days but they make good boards. I like Abit too, but my Soyo has taken the same processors higher than my Abit board did. However, my Soyo does not get along with Abit slockets and is happier with the Asus slocket.
Maybe your best bet is the BX Master and the MSI slocket.

However, I would not blame the motherboard until and unless I tested the CPU on another board and saw if it ran faster.

well....the 566 is resting comfortably at 850 in my abit with generic slotkey right now. but now i got all these cdroms and harddrives and cases with no mobo...

i am sending back my cubx for a refund and am leaning toward one of the new 815 chipsets (with future upgrades in mind....)

what do you guys think of the asus cusl2 and the abit se6? anything i need to be aware of with these puppies?
