Hi all,

Lately I've been thinking of retiring or selling my older KT7 board. It has served me well, but I built a AMD761 board for a friend a couple months ago and really loved it! I want to move to DDR memory!

I'd like some input as to what mobo to replace my old beater with "AMD761 based" (KG7) or some KT266A board. (I'm hesitant about the 266A's I've heard some things) or other?

A friend is going to do a SiS735 soon, don't know?

And please include why I should go with your recommendation!;-)

The Abit KG7 and the Epox 8K7A are two of the best AMD760 boards. A friend of mine had the Epox and absolutely loved it. Both boards overclock like mad too :)

I love the ASUS A7V266-E. You got nice onboard sound, RAID 0 in case you need it, or 8 IDE drives. Overclocking by BIOS, very simple. Memory performance working in 266Mhz bus is excelent, of course, is expensive, but consider it an investment.

I have an KT7-Raid V1.0 and myself am thinking of getting the IWILL XP333-R with some OCZ 256mb PC3000 Ram. It uses the ALI chipset though. I found a deal for the combo for $179.
