yes the major problem with middlemen is they have a vested interest to make processes more complicated and bureaucratic in order to ensure their livelihood. So what starts as a service to the consumer ends up being a runaway industry. Its good to see technology killing off, or transforming certain ones like real estate and travel agency. Legal and tax desperately need some of that, but since they make the laws thats pretty unlikely...
