What microphone setup to use?

Here's the deal, I have already converted film to video (had it done) and now I am going to have the grandparents and family sit around and make a "directors cut" of the old home movies by having them comment on the scenes (which are silent).

The question I have is how to record this? One mic, several mics, any one have any idea on the hardware? I'll be using a laptop to do the recording.

Thanks for any ideas.

did you try it with one mic? If it sounds OK with one, just go with that. Using mroe than one mic involves a more complicated setup, unless you have some sort of decent sound card (which probably will still require a more complicated setup.)
