What memory to choose for P55 build?

I'm building a P55 rig (core i7 860), still not decided the MOBO yet but also need to look for the right memory too.

I'm not going to do heavy overclocking, and have little / close to none idea what module I should pick, when I look at the Frequency and the timings of the memory. Read that Corsair have introduced a 8GB set especially for the i7 cpu's. Are Corsair 8GBthese any good or is it overkill for me? I will mostly be playing games and using the comp. for simpler task like texting.

Is 8GB also to much?

If you are planning on filling up the RAM slots, it might be a good idea to choose memory that isn't too fast. See thread , it seems to be emerging that P55 / 1156 CPU don't support four DDR3-1600 DIMMs, only two DIMMs at DDR3-1600.
