I can make full use of my PC3500 and even PC3700 (my board and CPU can do 220MHz FSB). I have an older 2500+ stepping and a rugged NF7-S R2 though so my experience may not match up with yours if you try to o/c with an A7N8X Deluxe.
I'm pretty sure 333 is max for Nforce 2. My graphics card for my main computer with the Nforce2 on it is currently being RMA'ed, so I'll get back to ya when I can check for sure.
Yea, 333 is max for default, but as Megatomic has mentioned, if ocing, you can go much further, so if in the future he may be ocing, he would be wise to get at least PC3500. I did and am glad I did, as I am running right now at 210 fsb, or 420DDR.
The A7N8X Deluxe model is qualified to run at 400 DDR, even the v1.04 boards like mine. If you did get some PC3700, 433 DDR, then you would definately be freeing yourself from memory restrictions and then limiting yourself by the MB or CPU. Remember to always run the memory at 100% or 1:1 witht the CPU's FSB. Peace.
The main thing that I noticed with my A7N8X Dlx was that it ran best with matched pairs and when I had the FSB and memory synchronzed. It did not run very stable when not synchronized.
