What memory for EVGA SLI board

Hey I'm going to grab some new memory I'm thinking about spending ~$200 for new memory.

What would be a good memory to get, I hear the EVGA SLI board has issues with TCCD memory, but I'm not entirely sure.

I have an opteron 165 running 290x9, and if I could run my memory 1:1 that would be phenomanal, I suppose otherwise memory that runs around 250 would be fine.

I'm thinking looking fowared all games need 1GB now and since this system will probably stick with me for 2-3 years, by the end of it's life >1GB will be the norm.

Well you aren't likely to get 2 gigs of RAM to run at 290 but 250 is defintely doable. I'm haveing luck with 2X1gig sticks of OCZ Platinum 3200 5-2-3-2 with good results.

If you have lots of money to spend, go with the Mushkin 2x1 GB DDR500 3-3-2 kit.

Otherwise, some normal DDR400 2-3-2 stuff from G.Skill, OCZ, Mushkin, or Corsair would do, just use a divider.

I have had horrible luck with my board and corsair value or xms 3200c2. I finally gave up and live with the fact that I'm running single channel, I'd do some reading before making a decision. I refuse to buy ram again, I haven't spent too much time trying to play with the timings, however I've tried with no success.

Oakenfold is right there are some knowledgable folks over there and they are all pretty much dealing with the same board you're referring to. They do have a list of recommended sticks as well. Still quite a bit of trial and error going on. I've been an OCZ fanboy for a few years know outside of a few forrays but must say they have always treated me very well and the support is excellent.
