Im trying to find out which memory would be best together with the new 2011 i7 3930k. The chipset supports 4x memory slots, so the question is about how much Mhz and what Cl want.
Currently im looking into the Dominator version of Corsair; tyipcally either the
CMP16GX3M4X1600C7
or
CMD16GX3M4A1866C9
Both are created by Corsair and performance wise they seem equally good. My question is wether I would be better of aiming for the first type of memory, which has got cl7 instead of cl9, or the extra Mhz on the second memory.
The computer is going to be used for Cad>Gaming and it will be overclocked.
As far as my computer wisdom reaches, I would say I would benefit most from the extra Mhz since I will use the system especially for Cad. Though I would like to know your opinion on this!
P.S The price difference between them are about 10 euros so please leave this out of your consideration.
