Just bought Chaintech VNF3-250 mobo for my new AMD 64, but it didnt run very well and not stable at all using my old memory. I dont know if it is because of the memory, because it just restarted by itself, randomly crashes, and sometimes refuses to boot because of the memory test and some other random stuff, but basically it is not stable. I tried to find a list of memory that is stable on their website, but cannot find any. If any of you using this motherboard and runs it well, please gimme an advice of what memory brand I can buy? Thanks :)

What brand of memory do you have right now? Kingston seems to be fine. This board is a little flaky too.

Samsung original is quite stable with 3 dimm slot filled up. OCZ EBs are just awesome on this board. Crucial ballistix seem to work well too but not as good as OCZ in my case.

Do you have Windows XP service pack2? Cause there have been some rebooting problems caused by that. I have the Chaintech VNF-3 with 2x512 Corsair Value Select CAS 2.5 dimms. GO to the Chaintech mobo forum at PC Perspective and ask there, a couple of people are having similar problems.

I have a VNF3-250/A64 3000 and it's running a gig of GEIL PC3200 value ram @ 438mhz, stable(#GE1G3200BDC). It ran memtest for several hours without any errors. Haven't seen any problems running day-to-day apps either.

Hope this helps!
