what memory can I use???

a friend wants to upgrade her gateway machine. it's P133 and the motherboard uses the VX chipset and sdram. can I use new PC133 memory in it or do I have to find some old PC66

If the MB doesnt have any compatiable issues with the certain RAM you are using... then YES you can use PC133 RAM in his board.

RAM is just tested at this speed. It can always run slower w/o any problems!!!

it's just I've heard of people having problems with newer memory, going to test some different memory in it next week

if you know the model number of the pc then check here to see what compatible memory they're offering!
