Not sure what you're asking exactly, but if you mean what does the power rating on the side of the PSU mean, it is usually specified as the maximum continuous power that it is rated for.

Yeah, it's the rating for the power that it can continuously and reliably supply. But watch out for the brand of the PSU manufacturer, cheap ones can't supply what they're advertised as, expensive ones can supply equal to or possibly greater than what they're supplied for reliably.

.... yeah I never buy cheap staff like PSU (i never heard about it), and prefer buy major components for my pc at last for several years of stable work.
